Information and search guides for various software tools, such as link resolvers or bibliographic reference managers, that can support users in their research and academic writing.
Ovid Linksolver is a tool that links a bibliographic reference to the full-text of the document, if this document is a journal article or book chapter that is licensed for the Swiss colleges of applied sciences.
When you search a database, you will see this button next to each entry in the result list: If you click on the button, you will either be guided to the full-text of the article (if the journal is subscribed) or to the journal entry in the library catalog. Here you can check if the journal is available in print in your library or if it can be ordered as interlibrary loan from another library.
Ovid Linksolver in Google Scholar
At present, Ovid Linksolver is only activated for journals in Google Scholar.
To access the full-text, click on "Mehr" and then "Check for full-text" (with the exception of Ovid journals):
For Ovid journals, click on "Check access to full-text":
If the article you are looking for was published in a subscribed journal but the subscription does not cover this particular publication year or volume, you will be linked to your library catalog. There you can check if this year or volume is available in print in your library.
